We Started plevianore Because We Were Tired of Seeing People Struggle

Back in 2019, we noticed something frustrating. People around us were making decent money but couldn't figure out where it all went. Small business owners with solid revenue streams somehow ended up in cash flow crises every few months.

The problem wasn't income. It was control. And most financial education out there either assumed you had an accounting degree or tried to sell you some magic app that would solve everything overnight.

How We Got Here

plevianore started in a shared office space in Blacktown. Three of us were running our own small operations and comparing notes over coffee about how terrible most budgeting advice was. Too theoretical. Too rigid. Didn't account for the messy reality of actual business and life.

We spent about eighteen months testing different approaches with friends' businesses. Some methods worked brilliantly. Others fell apart within weeks. By mid-2021, we had something that actually held up under real-world pressure.

What made it different? We focused on building practical skills rather than following perfect systems. People needed to understand their money patterns first, then create controls that fit their actual situation. Not the other way around.

What Drives Our Work

These aren't motivational poster principles. They're the practical standards we return to when making decisions about programs and content.

Reality Over Theory

We teach methods that survive contact with actual life. If something only works in a spreadsheet with perfect conditions, we don't include it. Our programs account for irregular income, unexpected expenses, and human nature.

Skills Before Tools

Apps and systems are helpful after you understand what you're doing. We focus on building genuine capability first. Once you've got the fundamentals down, any tool becomes more effective.

Honest Assessment

We're straightforward about what's fixable and what requires harder choices. Sometimes the answer is better tracking. Sometimes it's earning more or spending significantly less. We'll tell you which one applies.

Who You'll Work With

Our team includes people who've worked in financial planning, run small businesses, and helped individuals rebuild after financial setbacks. We're not here to impress you with credentials. We're here because we're good at making financial control make sense.

Freja Lundqvist

Lead Financial Educator

Freja spent seven years in personal financial advisory before joining plevianore in 2021. She specializes in helping people understand their spending patterns without judgment. Her programs focus on building sustainable habits rather than restrictive budgets.

Our Teaching Method

We've refined this approach through hundreds of hours working with real people facing actual financial challenges. It's deliberately structured but flexible enough to adapt to different situations.

1

Baseline Assessment

We start by mapping your current financial reality. Not what you think it should be. What it actually is. This includes tracking patterns for at least three weeks to spot recurring issues and hidden drains.

2

Control System Design

Based on your patterns, we build a control framework that fits your actual life. This isn't about imposing someone else's perfect budget. It's about creating checkpoints and limits that work with how you naturally handle money.

3

Implementation Support

The first two months are when most systems collapse. We provide structured support during this period, helping you adjust when reality doesn't match the plan. You learn to problem-solve rather than abandon ship.

4

Refinement Practice

Once your basic system holds up, we work on improving specific areas. This might mean better forecasting, tighter expense categories, or more sophisticated tracking. The goal is building capability you keep using.
